It falters on some shaver usability issues, though the functioning lonely causes it to last a really proficient stand upwards for to the minor to medium-size business office its meant for. Whenever y'all also select its handsome proficient looks into account, it is highly attractive inwards both senses from the word.
Canon Imageclass MF8350cdn Driver download for Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7/Win 8/8.1/10 (32bit - 64bit), Mac OS as well as Linux. The MF8350Cdn prints, scans, as well as faxes over a network. In add-on plant similar a standalone fax machine as well as copier, consummate having a 50-page automatic document feeder (ADF) to allow it to scan single-sided, multi-page documents at roughly legal size.
The printer's newspaper treatment is actually a potent point. The 250-sheet drawer past times itself ought to last sufficient for many minor offices. However, the printer also has a 50-sheet multipurpose tray, hence that y'all could continue a 2nd a kind of newspaper loaded, along with alter newspaper without having to swap the newspaper within the drawer. Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 impress duplexer for automatic printing on each side of whatsoever page is likewise standard. And if y'all wish to a greater extent than input capacity, y'all could add together a 2nd 250-sheet drawer ($200 street), to larn a total of 550 sheets.

Organising the
MF8350Cdn is reasonably easy, but it is also peradventure i of the places inwards which the printer falls slightly curt on usability issues. The hardest share is finding a spot for that creature as well as moving it into place. The printer measures 18. ix past times 17. 0 past times 19. 1 inches (HWD), which I'd telephone telephone reasonably compact for which it will, but bigger than I'd wish sitting all over my desk. No affair the reason, it weighs a substantial 64. 2 pounds without having the toner cartridges loaded, which suggests nearly everybody would regard picking it upwards a two-man job.
After y'all obtain the printer inwards position, setting it upwards on the network is reasonably typical : take the packing materials, install the toner cartridges, charge paper, plug within the cables, as well as run the automated installation routine from disc. I made utilization of a Windows Vista organization for my tests. Canon says the printer also has drivers as well as also a total listing of software for Windows 7, XP, 2000, Server 2003, as well as Server 2008. In add-on comes having a total listing of software as well as printer drivers, addition scan drivers for USB connections, for Mac OS X version 10. 4. ix through 10. 6. Every i of the drivers tin also last flora on Canon's Website or this
site.
The installation worked good plenty within my tests, but—as I flora out later—it hides an alternative that it ought to brand obvious. Canon supplies a fax driver, hence that y'all could fax from whatsoever PC upon the network giving a impress ascendency from within a programme as well as choosing the fax driver. However, the driver does non install naturally, as well as when y'all select the Easy installation option, y'all never larn asked whether y'all wish to install it.
To install the driver, y'all demand to undergo the Custom installation alternative after which tell this software to install it. My approximate is that the fairly high amount of minor offices tin never know this alternative exists, as well as tin cease upwards printing documents after which scanning as well as faxing them similar a result—an approach that likewise wastes some serious amounts of newspaper but yields a less readable fax, because the scanning footstep tends to degrade the image. Once y'all receive got read this, however, y'all create non receive got to worry virtually falling into that trap.

Performance as well as Output Quality
When y'all obtain the MF8350Cdn flora out, last laid upwards to last impressed past times its impress speed, fifty-fifty beyond the things y'all mightiness aspect from its 21-page-per-minute (ppm ) rating for both color as well as monochrome. I timed it on our concern applications suite (using QualityLogic's hardware as well as software, www. qualitylogic. com ) with a total of ix minutes 27 seconds.
The ix : 27 total gives the MF8350Cdn bragging rights similar the fastest color Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation AIO inwards its cost hit past times far. It is fifty-fifty slightly faster compared to the previous tape holder (but soundless somewhat to a greater extent than costly ) Xerox Phaser 6180MFP / N, which I timed at ix minutes 46 seconds. The times on our photograph suite were also fast, averaging eighteen seconds for whatsoever 4-by-6 as well as twenty seconds for the 8-by-10.
The printer's output character is non inwards quite a similar course of written report every bit its speed, but it is easily proficient plenty for many concern use. Text character is depression for whatsoever color Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation AIO, but if y'all don‘t receive got an odd demand for minor font sizes, that shouldn't last a problem. Over 50 pct from the fonts inwards your text suite qualified every bit both highly readable as well as good formed at 8 points. Even at half-dozen points, over 50 pct passed the highly readable threshold, as well as almost one-half passed at five points. However, fewer fonts at those sizes qualified also formed, due to grapheme spacing issues.
Graphics output was absolutely typical for whatsoever color laser, which suggests it is easily proficient plenty for precisely virtually whatsoever internal concern need, every bit much every bit as well as including PowerPoint handouts. You may fifty-fifty regard it proficient plenty for marketing materials similar one-page mailers as well as trifold brochures, although that depends upon precisely just the amount of the perfectionist you‘re. The i of import flaw I saw would last a slight misregistration every bit obvious, but relatively small, white gaps betwixt blocks of colours, including text surrounded past times color.
Photos were inwards the high cease of what I aspect given past times a color Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation AIO. Light blues were shifted precisely a niggling towards green, using the heaven inwards i photograph clearly light-green instead of blue. However, a lot of the photos inwards your exam suite could transcend for truthful photograph character inwards illustration y'all framed them behind glass. That volition brand them greater than proficient plenty for utilization inwards customer newsletters or advertising handouts, or to tack upwards with an business office bulletin board.
Other Issues
One usability number to the MF8350Cdn demands advert : past times using the scan ascendency from within a programme to scan over a network is unnecessarily difficult. You starting fourth dimension receive got to view the printer as well as laid it for remote scanning. Only as well as hence is it possible give the scan ascendency from the computer, and, finally, larn out dorsum towards the printer i time to a greater extent than to recollect whatever y'all had been scanning.
The telephone telephone for ii trips towards the printer won't larn out a serious employment if it is nearby, but it is guaranteed to larn out annoying when the printer is removed from your desk as well as y'all also scan greater than occasionally. Making upwards for the somewhat is y'all receive got ii other choices for scanning. First, y'all are able to ship a scan straight within your computer's hard drive coming from the printer's forepart panel, saving inwards TIFF, JPEG, PDF, or compressed PDF formats. Second, y'all are able to scan to some USB retentivity key, which allows y'all to walk towards the printer, scan, as well as select the file as well as document dorsum within your desk within a unmarried trip.
In the really best of all worlds, the MF8350Cdn's installation programme would non cover the fax driver option, the scan driver would non brand me select ii trips towards the printer, as well as also the text as well as graphics character volition last a behave on better. However, the fax driver is non a employment when y'all receive got the powerfulness to install it, the printer offers other scanning choices hence tin avoid the 2 trips for scanning, as well as also the text as well as graphics character is proficient plenty for many concern purposes. Whilst it stands, the MF8350Cdn is with the best color Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation AIOs for a niggling business office or workgroup, as well as proficient plenty to larn out our starting fourth dimension Editors' Choice inwards its category.
